SAS Book Launch
Alex Strusberg has recently put together a nice little publication of artists from Vancouver's Strathcona neighbourhood. The launch event is tomorrow which also includes a group art show of the artists in the book. Should be a fun time. Come on by to get your limited edition book.

Official launch of the Strathcona Artist Survey, a 68 page, full colour publication of emerging and established artists from Strathcona, Vancouver. This is the first edition printing, limited to 100 copies and available for $15. Organized and designed by Alex Stursberg and Brennan Kelly.
A selection of work from the 19 artists featured in the SAS will be on display in the gallery space.

Public Domaine at La Gâité Lyrique, Paris, France
During my time in LA this passed winter I was able to catch up with Yogi Proctor, a creative individual who has done a lot in and out of skateboarding. Most notably he worked with Sole Tech, Popwar Skateboards and was the man responsible for introducing me to RVCA in 2004, a label I continue to work with to this day.
Recently Yogi was asked to curate part of a large show in Paris titled "Public Domaine" at La Gâité Lyrique. I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time to re-connect with him and after checking out my new work he chose a few paintings from my recent shows in France/Berlin to be included in the show.
The show opened last week and I have been able to track down (via google) some photographic evidence that my art was actually included in the show. Digging the square spotlight.
The show runs into August.

New Directions in Drawing.
One of my recent works on paper has been included in the New Directions in Drawing Symposium and will be shown in the digital drawing exhibition curated by Emily Carr Master of Applied Arts candidates Kristina Fiedrich and Gardiner Funo O’Kain, broadcast both online and as part of the Symposium at the University. May 11th, 2011 at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, Vancouver, BC. This event is free and open to the public.
